Shiseido

The Japanese cosmetics company Shiseido has a long and rich history. It was founded in 1872 by the pharmacist Arinobu Fukuhara as an apothecary. Arinobu Fukuhara is the one who set the beginning of the popular concept “East meets West” when it comes to medicine and cosmetics.

It was Arinobu Fukuhara’s son, Shinzo, who used his traditional Japanese background and combined it with eastern and western medicine studies together with his experience gained in the sphere of medicine and arts in the USA and Paris, to transform Shiseido from an apothecary to the cosmetics giant it is today.

The first Shiseido fragrance, Zen, was launched in 1965. One of the oldest perfume houses, Shiseido offers tens of successful perfumes through its division Beaute Prestige International. Except for perfumes, Shiseido offers hundreds of top quality cosmetics and hair care products all over the world.
