Nina Ricci

The French fashion house Nina Ricci was founded in 1932. The designer behind this brand is Maria Ricci, also known as Nina Ricci – she was well known for the stylish and feminine fashion lines she followed. Her son, Robert, was in charge of the business and the company’s finances. He was also the one to propose the idea of fragrances as becoming part of the brand’s offerings.

Nina Ricci’s first fragrance, Coeur Joie, was launched in 1946. It was created with the help of Lalique, who took care of the bottle design. Ever since then, the two companies have been successfully collaborating when it comes to the fragrance department of the brand. Two years after the launch of their first perfume, in 1948, their best-selling fragrance was introduced – L'Air du Temps. It is still being produced today!

Ever since 1998 Nina Ricci is part of the famous company Puig, offering diverse fashion items as well as perfumes. Today Nina Ricci’s fragrances are created with the help of top perfumers like Olivier Cresp, Cecile Matton, Francis Kurkdjian, Alberto Morillas, Christine Nagel, Jacques Cavallier, Sophie Labbe, and many others.
