Michael Kors

Michel Kors is an American fashion designer and respected philanthropist. 

Born in 1959 with the name Karl Anderson Jr. Michel Kors studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology and begins to create clothes at the age of 19. He manages to launch his own womenswear line at New York City's top department stores when he is still 22 years old. Michael Kors works at French fashion house Celine as womenswear designer and creative director. In 2003 he decides to focus on his own brand and leaves Celine. Michael Kors creates a fashion empire producing accessories, footwear, watches, jewellery, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, eyewear and a full line of fragrance products. His stores are operated in the most prestigious cities on five continents. Michael Kors supports different organisations which fight world hunger and help people with serious illnesses. His philanthropies include other projects like helping World Food Programme.

Michael Kors creates fragrances in partnership with Estee Lauder. In 2001 he launches his first scent - Michael for women. It is a floral woody musk fragrance, created by Laurent Le Guernec and Alain Alchenberger. Michael Kors made  collaboration with perfumers Harry Fremont, Christophe Laudamiel, Loc Dong, Jean-Marc Chaillan, Bruno Jovanovic, Olivier Gillotin, Christophe Raynaud, Steve Demercado, Honorine Blanc and Aurelien Guichard.
