Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is an American singer, known for her provocative fashion choices and style. With more than 27 million albums sold worldwide, Lady Gaga is one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
Apart from having won three Brit Awards and six Grammy awards, and being declared Billboard’s Woman of the Year in 2015, Lady Gaga is also known for her philanthropic work and social activism, such as her Born This Way Foundation which aims at fighting bullying and youth empowerment.
In 2010, Lady Gaga entered the world of perfumery by starting to work on an unusual fragrance with Coty Beauty. It was initially kept as a secret, but it soon became clear that the American singer has signed a long-term contract with Coty Beauty to release fragrances under her name.
In 2012, Lady Gaga released her first fragrance for women - Fame, which was through the singer’s Haus Laboratories label in collaboration with Coty Beauty. Fame was first released in Guggenheim Museum and in Macy’s stores across the USA, and a range of stores in the UK in August 2012, and then worldwide in September 2012. The perfume is made with “push and pulls technology”, rather than the traditional pyramidal structure of perfumes.
In 2014, the singer released her second fragrance, created through her perfume label Haus Laboratories, and again in association with Coty. The promotional image of the perfume, photographed by Steven Klein, which included men and women suggested that the fragrance could be worn by men and women alike.
