Kenzo
The Japanese fashion brand Kenzo was founded in 1970 by fashion designer Kenzo Takada. He opened his first boutique in Paris the same year, bringing the Japanese traditions and culture to the western world of fashion.
The company developed its perfume division in 1987, but its first perfume, King Kong, was launched almost a decade before that – in 1978. The first official Kenzo perfume, however, Kenzo for Women, was launched in 1988. Today the brand offers hundreds of successful perfumes (both for men and for women), but it is Flower by Kenzo that is considered the brand’s greatest success.
Since 1993 Kenzo perfumes are part of LVMH. They still keep the tradition of bringing together eastern and western culture in the fragrances they create with the help of top perfumers like Sophie Labbe, Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp, Sophia Grojsman, Olivier Polge, Francois Demachy, Dominique Ropion, Christine Nagel, Annick Menardo, Jacques Cavallier, Francis Kurkdjian, etc.
