Giorgio Beverly Hills
The American fashion brand Giorgio Beverly Hills was funded in 1961 by the famous fashion retailer and entrepreneur Fred Hayman and his wife, Gayle Hayman. The idea behind the brand was to offer world-class luxury shopping experience in Beverly Hills (and Rodeo Drive in particular). To achieve this, the company opened a unique boutique with exclusively sold designer clothes. The unusual boutique, featuring a full oak bar, a reading room, and even a billiards room soon became one of the most popular places where celebrities and wealthy Californians spent their free time and extra money.
The fragrance division of the brand was established in 1981 with unprecedented fanfare that was rivaled only by launches of major perfume houses. An interesting fact about Giorgio Beverly Hills fragrances is that they were the first to introduce the scent strips technology.
Currently Giorgio Beverly Hills’s fragrances are part of the portfolio of Elizabeth Arden.
The perfumes were made in collaboration with perfumers Alain Astori, M.L. Quince, Francis Camail, Harry Cuttle, Harry Fremont, Annick Menardo, Alberto Morillas, Bob Aliano, Francoise Caron and Jean-Claude Delville.
