Christian Lacroix, a French fashion designer, is one of the most popular names in the fashion industry. He was pursuing a degree in art history, but the world of fashion attracted him immensely so he decided to embark on a career in the world of beauty. He started his career as an assistant at Hermes and, later on, he worked for Jean Patou.

Later, in 1986 he founded his own fashion house - Christian Lacroix. Soon after that, his feminine designs, rich in patterns, color, and pleats became indicative of the 80s fashion style. Despite being really stylish and sexy, his designs were also a bit impractical. This lead to him making a prominent name for himself, while generating just a medium fortune.

His first fragrance, C'est La Vie, set the beginning of a series of eccentric perfumes offered in unusual bottles that accentuate on his elaborate style.
