Jean Paul Gaultier
Jean Paul Gaultier is among the most famous (and most eccentric) fashion designers today. Despite his lack of a formal training in fashion design, his passion led him to designing his first sketches that he simply sent to famous fashion designers with the hope to be noticed.
It was Pierre Cardin and Jean Patou that recognized his talent and lend a helping hand to the young designer. He is most famous for introducing men’s skirts as well as for the famous cone-shaped bra that Madonna used to wear in the early 1990-s.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s first fragrance, Jean Paul Gaultier EDP for women, was launched in 1993. It became an immense success with its eccentric package and extraordinary composition. Today, Jean Paul Gaultier has about a hundred different perfumes on the market, made in collaboration with famous perfumers like Jacques Cavallier, Francis Kurkdjian, Olivier Cresp, Annick Menardo and Aurelien Guichard.
